Sixth Quit Run  Competition  For Photography

       Invitation for Participation

 

The International Today Center is pleased to invite you to participate in the Photography Contest which we organize during the activities of Quit – Run Marathon for fighting against smoking so we call all photographers , professionals and amateurs to participate in this international competition which aims to combat smoking and to advocate the practice of sport

 

TheCompetition parts :

• The press photography part : Aims to move the marathon events from reality to photography and show the advantages of sport in stead of the bad habit of tobacco as well as  creativity to take the footage, which encourages everyone to participate in such  event.

• The Health photography part: Aims to demonstrate the bad impact of smoking on the mental and physical health and to clarify its adverse effects on everyone in an attempt to focus on the child.

• The Environmental photography part : Aimed to show the negative impact of smoking on our environment.

 

The conditions of the competition:

 

1. Send photos in size of dpi300 ,CD or DVD where will Print photos to be 40 x 30 cm and sent to the following E-mail: photo@quitrunmarathon.org

2. You can participate in all mentioned parts that no more than 3 photos in each part.

3. The last date for receipt photos is 5-November-2009

4. Participation is fulfilled where the technical specifications are achieved with out writing texts on photos, as time and date of photo and signature of the photographer.

5. Photos sent with form which should be fill with a brief explanation in Arabic or English.

6. Organizing Committee is entitled to use the photos in the  local and global media and Internet and produce a handbook & bulletin competition while safeguarding the rights of property of the photographer.

7. The use of Photoshop is allowed in the health and environmental parts, the original photo should be attached & write on it (original photo), about the press photo part Photoshop only allowed for further clarification or zoom and does not allow the use of filters or the installation of an photo on the other.

 

The technical & administrative committees

 

The technical committee:

 

The screening committee: Its job is screening the participating photos and nominating the photos that will enter the competition, this committee include professional photographers and those with considerable experience in assessing the photos.

 

The referee committee: consisting of professional photographers, and its decision is neutral and final

 

The Administrative Committee:

 

The media committee: organizing the campaign media, the press release , the official program ,the promotional materials and the design of the handbook & Poster of the competition.

 

Public relations:Its job the organization and follow-up of the stages of the competition, photos classification, print and frame photos, correspondence and invitations.

 

The announcement of the results:

The announcement of the results Will be through the site www.quitrunmarathon.org This will be on the International Day of volunteering 5/12/2009.
