QUIT...RUN

This is the motto of the marathon we are organizing "quit smoking & run to the health", as we do not just aim together athletes participants for the marathon, but to set the marathon as a way to the common health: the top of our priorities, and the main goal of our activity, as it should be to all participants.
This running marathon aims a set of goals, which directly relate to common health, and environment keeping, as well as gaining the advantages of sport performance, among which is the satisfaction that every body seeks through their activities.
So, why don't you bind quitting smoking to such a big event ? and don't you be amongst the participants to promote your country's activities?
Further more why don't you enter the challenge court through its wide open gate?  the challenge of quitting smoking , and winning the marathon prize .
Before resuming we got to clarify the two ways we had restricted through this marathon, as we are to define the advantages and the disgraces of each, and thus you got choice!

 

The Smoking Way:

Before talking about the disgraces of this way, we got to know the main ingredients of the cigarette that you smoke:

  1. Ammonia, which is used in house cleaning purposes.

  2. Anglica root extract,  a cancer causer to animals, so how for humans.

  3. Arsenic, a poison.

  4. Benzene, used in ladin, Sacarene , and Aspirin manufacturing.

  5. Butane, a gasic inflamed compound, being in Oil.

  6. Carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas.

  7. Tar, one of the most dangerous contents of tobacco, as consists of a  cancer causing quantities.

  8. Cadmium a white physical element, similar to tin.

  9. D.D.T, an insect destructive prohibited to be used.

  10. Lead, which is poisonous if used in large doses, and causes bones  brittleness, hence easy breaking, further more it's a heal lingering.

  11. Naphthalene, one of the contents of moth balls, a substance used to  prevent garments from moth.

  12. Polonium, a physical element, known of its radioactivity, causing  cancer.
    And many others.

All diseases you may imagine with a fatal effect , and what's more !? .

What are the diseases which struck the smokers more than others

 

Its clear on the illustration that smoking affects all organs and limbs of the human body, with different levels of affection,  some of these diseases  are:

1-      Lung cancer.

2-      Emphysema, and bronchitis.   

3-      Heart diseases.

4-   Mouth and teeth diseases

 

     

There are so many studies , which proved that the probability of  smokers struck by diseases increases from one to ten folds than the non-smoking persons , due to the affection kind , see the table :

 We do already know that quitting smoking is not easy , because smoking causes organic and psychic addiction , but so many people could quit because they do have the real will to do , also so many people are afraid of quitting suddenly .

In fact no harm should be expected of a sudden quitting of smoking , as on the contrary many do suddenly quit motivated by their strong determination .

In this way .

To help those afraid from the sudden quitting , we  advise the following program :

1-      Take decision to give up smoking on a certain day ( Target day ) which will be  in about  3 - 4 weeks since start thinking quit smoking .

2-      Talking to relatives about the will , and determination to quit smoking , to enable them help , and consider the circumstances one would pass .

3-      During a period of 3 – 4  weeks , one should not smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day

4-      Follow some instructions to resist the desire to smoke :

·        Delay : When one would need to smoke a cigarette , he should convince himself to wait more , for half an hour  , or an hour before smoking it , this delay often reduces the desire gradually , and helps one to get over it .

·        Quitting : One should stop going to the places which urge him to smoke , also not being in certain situations , which evoke the desire of smoking , such as cafes , and clubs where he used to meet other smokers , this behavior may temporarily last for about a month , which is enough to help one endure and quit .

·        Escape : which means to avoid any kind of situation , that may impel the strong desire to smoke , further more one should escape these situations whenever they occur , and also escape the places where one just feels like to smoke , all to help oneself to get over it .

·        Have substitutions : One should participate in activities , and perform hoppies , in order to keep oneself from even thinking of tobacco , such as sport performance for some time , and not to miss opportunities such as this international marathon , on the other hand one should strengthen his social relations and intense his visits to relatives , as those substitutions will help very much forget about smoking .

And economically : the description is unlimited , as you would reduce the obligations of your family in order to buy the harmful and fatal blight to yourself as well as to them , thus you may become sunk in debts for such a disgraceful enjoyment , while if you thought of buying a useful thing on credit , or make a donation for charity , you will feel the difference deep in yourself , regarding that those disgraces are other than the expanses of the clinics you would visit , and the medicines , which you will take in vain , as long as you are a smoker . So what do you think of this way ?

 

As the smoker may had passed so many failures to quit , but one got not to surrender to despair , but should try again and again , using the advantages of past failures . We assure you that your experience with us , to quit smoking will offer you the advantage of group work , especially when you show others the way , and urge them to follow up , the task which would occupy your mind thinking about the way to convince them quit this bad habit , hence it will make you feel how mean the tobacco you smoke is , and how great is what you are doing for your society’s health and environment cleanliness .

Advantages of quitting smoking " we offer Running "

  • Running is the best way to gain grace and celerity , through which you can decrease your weight, by regular performance .

  • Running is of no cost , as to gain grace all you need are good shoes , a pair of shorts , and a   T shirt .

  • Running is easily learnable , as every body has definitely performed it at some stage of his life , thus no gradual studying is needed .

  • Running makes you feel that you are better , and not only your body , but also your mind .

  • Running is good to low up the hypertension , and nothing is better than running , to gain by brain relaxation , and a better concentration

  • Running is the best elastic sport performance , as it does not need a special field , but one can run anywhere .

  • Running improves the heart performance , and not just strengthen it , but also regulate its beats .

  •  All other than the fact that Running is suitable for all ages .

 

Participating in this marathon race is the best way to challenge , and nothing is better than gaining a prize while crossing the dead line of the race .

This vision depends on your practice , and how long have you been performing during the race period.

Studies had proved that persons who regularly practice sports , live longer than others by 2 years and more , more important that they even improve the quality of their lives .

The advantages of running will show up if you practice every other day at least for half an hour to 1 hour . But for the professional ones it means to run 10 – 15 miles a week , as running privileges with activity , and improves the presence , the body shape , and lingers the age .

We do not mean here just running , but also all the activities related to it , which will improve your appetite , and the quality of your nutrition as well ,  and further more it will help you get rid of extra weight , and consequently you will quit smoking as you will realize its being disgrace , and how it disturbs your good sport performance . Any how running may turn into an addiction , but what addiction is better than it ?
